Good planning includes the involvement of the community as a key partner. We established a Community Liaison Committee (CLC) to discuss aspects of construction, operations, maintenance, and retirement of Grand Renewable Wind (GRW). This committee served as a forum to share ideas, express concerns, and provide the community with ongoing updates about construction. An independent, third-party facilitator from Dillon Consulting Limited was retained to facilitate the meetings.

The Grand Renewable Wind CLC met four times over a two year period. Committee members were encouraged to share information and the results of all CLC discussions with other interested community members.
